It wasn’t a $3,000 ductless unit, but I did pick a top-of-the-line model with heat and AC functions as well as a dehumidifier
Last week I called the AC repair company, because I wanted them to install a new AC unit in my house. I made an appointment with a service company that I haven’t used in the past. They had really good reviews online and a couple of my friends recommended the same service. I made an appointment with the guy on the phone and he asked a couple of questions about the work that I wanted performed. There must have been some confusion about what I wanted, because the service technician showed up to my address with a ductless AC unit for that house. It was a very nice machine and much nicer than the window AC unit that I was anticipating. Unfortunately, it was also 10 times more money. I explained to the service technician that I was expecting him to bring a window AC unit. He apologized for the confusion, but it might have been my fault as well. He had to return to the workshop to pick up entirely different equipment and supplies for the job. He returned a few hours later and installed a brand new AC unit in the window of the living room. It wasn’t a $3,000 ductless unit, but I did pick a top-of-the-line model with heat and AC functions as well as a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier will be very handy during the summer months when it is moist and humid all day. I think the humidity is one of the reasons why the old machine only lasted ten years. It’s hard to run all day and all night with no break at all.
