My job requires quite a bit of traveling.
- When I am not needed in the office to triage patients, I am commuting to the other locations to help out with the day to day tasks of maintaining to office space.
My company just purchased another office 20 minutes from my house. I am going to meet with the HVAC company tomorrow to go over a preventive maintenance plan. I am responsible for meeting with the HVAC technicians each month in order to ensure that the HVAC system is operating at peak performance. I am happy to do these tasks, as there is really nobody else with the time and open availability. This allows me to make sure that the offices are happy and that the utilities bills stay low. Living in a region that gets go hot, it is important to ensure that the air conditioning is always working at peak efficiency. Last year, I had to deal with an older office building and there was always something wrong with the heating and cooling. Finally, we decided that we needed to replace the HVAC system all together. I spent a lot of time coordinating the HVAC technicians around the doctors and therapists schedules. The most challenging part of this task was keeping the HVAC technicians quiet when there was a therapy session going on in the building. These guys sure can make some noise!
