There’s nothing like being broke.
If you haven’t been completely poor before, you’re missing out.
Missing out on a lot of extra drama, discomfort, and stress. For the past few months I’ve been in a pretty bad financial situation. My life change very quickly, I left my house, and I lost most of my belongings. I’ve been restarting on a low salary and a lot of prayers. Recently, I had another Financial stop back when my central heating and cooling system stopped working. I woke up one morning and saw that the house felt a bit warm compared to usual. I started getting ready for work, none the less, and found that I was sweating through my work shirt while pouring coffee. At that point I knew something was wrong. I went to the thermostat and took a look at the temperature readings. Sure enough, the indoor air temperature was 10 degrees warmer than normal. I tried to adjust the temperature down, but the air conditioning unit was unresponsive to my temperature control changes. At that point, I started to panic. I knew I didn’t have money to call out a cooling system repair servicemen. It was the dead of Summer, and there was still several months of heat to get through. Since money was not an option, I knew I was just going to have to suck it up and get through a miserable and sweaty couple of months. I went to the store and scooped up a few second hand box fans. These days, I have box fans situated all throughout my house, there’s a fan and every corner of every room. I don’t love being broke.
